Launch AR in WeChat
The WeChat Mini Program entry is intended for users in mainland China. Space Studio asks the server to generate a Mini Program code for the current map.
Launch
- Confirm that the map is Ready and its Content has been saved.
- Select Launch in the Space Studio top bar.
- Select WeChat. China-region deployments commonly expose only this entry; the current deployment configuration is authoritative.
- Open Scan in WeChat and scan the Mini Program code.
- Grant camera and device permissions, face a mapped area, and move slowly while localization initializes.
The Mini Program code is not an ordinary web QR code. Saving it as a web link, scanning it with the system Camera, or opening it in a browser does not launch the Mini Program.
On-site guidance
- Start localization near a door frame, sign, fixed exhibit, or another area with strong visual detail.
- Avoid aiming directly at a blank wall, glass, or a highly reflective display.
- If a network transition causes a request to fail, wait for the connection to stabilize before retrying. Do not tap repeatedly.
- If Content remains offset, verify the map Origin and Content coordinates before reviewing client frame synchronization and pose conversion.
The Mini Program code is bound to map access. Do not publish codes generated in a test environment. Before release, validate the experience against the target China Portal, the production Mini Program build, and every Android and iOS WeChat version you plan to support.
