Scan with NavVis
NavVis supports continuous capture over large indoor spaces. 01Spatial reads spherical imagery, poses, and point-cloud data from one self-contained E57.
NavVis data requires neither 01Spatial Reference Boards nor Map Configurator; upload it and start the build.
Capture
- Follow a continuous route and keep effective mobile-scan spacing within about 2 m.
- Slow down and add overlap at doors, stairs, corridor junctions, and open-space edges.
- Revisit a known area before finishing to strengthen closure.
- Avoid long stretches dominated by blank walls, glass, or moving crowds.
Export and upload
Export an E57 with 2D spherical images, camera poses, and 3D scans, then place that single E57 in a ZIP. Do not substitute PLY, LAS, or a panorama folder. Create a NavVis map and submit through Local or an available Cloud source. Portal validates metadata and density.
Validate
In Space Studio, compare sparse Points with the LiDAR view. Camera coverage should be continuous and the visual map should agree with LiDAR scale and orientation. Finish with representative localization tests.
