Scan with CHCNAV
A CHCNAV input contains panoramas, one text pose table, and an optional LAS point cloud. Portal matches image filenames against pose records before mapping.
CHCNAV data requires neither 01Spatial Reference Boards nor Map Configurator; upload it and start the build.
Prepare files
- A panorama directory containing JPG, JPEG, PNG, TIF, or TIFF images.
- A
.txtpose file whose header is:
imageName X Y Z Omega Phi Kappa
Commas, tabs, or whitespace are accepted as separators. Every imageName must match its uploaded filename exactly, including extension and letter case.
- Optionally, one
.laspoint cloud. A map can be built without LAS, but the point cloud is useful for geometric validation.
Upload
- Create a CHCNAV map in Spatial Maps.
- Under Panoramas, select the panorama directory.
- Under Poses, select the
.txtpose file. - Under Point cloud, optionally select a
.lasfile. - Review the number of matched images and poses, then select Build.
CHCNAV currently uses a local multi-file input instead of the single-ZIP cloud flow used by other LiDAR brands. Keep the page open until upload completes.
If the match count is lower than the image count, correct the filenames or pose table first. Do not accept a partial match unless the missing images are intentionally outside the required area.
Validate
When Ready, check camera order, coordinate direction, area connections, and alignment between optional LAS data and visual Points. Complete localization tests from different locations and viewing directions.
