Scan with FARO
FARO projects commonly contain multiple fixed stations. 01Spatial accepts a ZIP with one E57 per station and normalizes them into one spatial dataset.
FARO data requires neither 01Spatial Reference Boards nor Map Configurator; upload it and start the build.
Capture and register
- Complete station registration in the FARO project first and remove discontinuities or visible misalignment.
- Keep neighboring stations within about 5 m, with stations on both sides of doors and turns.
- Retain each station's panorama and point cloud; point-cloud-only E57 files are not sufficient for visual localization.
Package
Export each station as a separate .e57 and place all stations from one coordinate frame in one ZIP. Subdirectories are accepted; unrelated projects must not be mixed.
Upload and validate
Create a FARO map in Spatial Maps, upload the ZIP locally or through an available Cloud source, and build. Portal counts stations, validates metadata, and checks density. In Space Studio, inspect connections, doorway coverage, doubled surfaces, and representative localization images.
